While I have confirmed this as Dendrobium kingianum subsp. kingianum. Believe this nomenclature is not current, firstly because no subspecies are any longer recognized as a necessary distinction and secondly all but one Australian species previously recognized from the former genus Dendrobium where transfer into Thelychiton in 2002. I would prefer this species to be correctly named and known as Thelychiton kingianus but not all states nor all participants are yet onboard with this published work.
