This remarkable tiny spider managed all sorts of gymnastics climbing through this branchy lichen. (And ‘twas a challenge to photo). The whole spider was roughly the size of a ¼ of a 5-cent piece. The abdomen (dorsal) had 3 rows of protusions, 4 in each row. Each was topped with a white spot. It had 2(?) larger pale yellow spot(s) underneath its abdomen, and similarly yellow colouring on the parts of some leg sections merging into the joint. A rectangular rounded line, with an inward ‘v’ shape at the front, marked the top of its head. At the rear, and at the sides at the rear, it had 3-sided white lines looking suggestive of handles! The black of the abdomen (dorsal) also reflected a slight purple-burgundy metallic sheen at certain angles. Though the photos are not crisply clear, most of these features can be made out from the combination of the 5 I have put up.
