Though this lichen shares some features with the lichen at sighting 4647907, this one look different in other ways = it was more upright and sturdy, like a miniature tree, rather than the whispier hairy one of the quoted sighting. These photos are of the only example I found with those features.
Again as with all these ‘shade cloth canopy’ * lichen sightings, I know too little to be clear I am not conflating species whether within, or across ,sightings. The other sightings relevant to that comment are: 4647881, 4647883, 4647896, 4647907, 4647914, 4647961, 4647975, 4648051 & 4648056 (this one).
This lichen is yet another which colonized a shade cloth canopy. (The canopy collapsed a few years ago and a substantial amount of leaf litter has accumulated in the depression formed in the top, with several ferns & other plants colonizing the underside).
