A relatively flat moss, with some spore capsules (photos 1 & 2). There’s part of 5-cent piece in photo 3 for sizing, and photo 5 provides context. This moss may be the same as the moss logged at sighting 4649567, which is not part of this ‘shade cloth canopy’ collection.
Again as with all my ‘shade cloth canopy’ * moss sightings, I know little about mosses so there is a high risk that I’m conflating species whether within or across sightings.
The other sightings relevant to that comment are: 4649572, 4649587 (this one), 4649598, 4649599, 4649605, 4649625. 4649636, 4649639 & 4649653.
* The shade cloth canopy itself collapsed a few years ago and a substantial amount of leaf litter has accumulated in the depression formed in the top, with several ferns & other plants colonizing the underside, rooting deep into the leaf litter, whilst the lichens and to some extent, mosses are mostly on the more exposed areas, where there is less/no leaf litter.
