I only noticed this small green ball-shaped moss when looking at the photos of the flatter one surrounding it. (The ball is centred in 1st photo, to the left in 2nd & 3rd photos) Profered as a possible different Sp, the mosses have all dried out now, so more useful photos have not been possible.
Again as with all my ‘shade cloth canopy’ * moss sightings, I know little about mosses so there is high risk that I’m conflating species whether within or across sightings.
The other sightings relevant to that comment are: 4649572, 4649587, 4649598, 4649599, 4649605, 4649608. 4649625, 4649636, 4649639 (this one) & 4649653.
* The shade cloth canopy itself collapsed a few years ago and a substantial amount of leaf litter has accumulated in the depression formed in the top, with several ferns & other plants colonizing the underside, rooting deep into the leaf litter, whilst the lichens and to some extent, mosses are mostly on the more exposed areas, where there is less/no leaf litter.
