User's notes

I was once told this orange flower, which looks like a single petal, was an orchid. It is reasonably common locally in late Spring - early Summer, on the fringes of forest and in slightly grassy areas, where ever it is partly shady. I feel I’ve seen a similar flower in another colour, (can someone verify another colour exists?), but it was a long time ago, and this is the only one I’ve been seeing in the past 30+ years or so.
