User's notes

This plant is a favourite gem: it is so small, the tiny flowers are so bright, colourful and beautifully patterned with white, and it’s a little survivor in its very competitive plant world. I found it on an occasionally mown area, where it was growing in half-shade amongst grasses and several other plants logged separately. It has a sprawling habit, but does not seem to develop roots at each node. I have not seen this anywhere else, in the wild, or in cultivation, and I‘m thinking it is a native.
