This verbena-like mauve flowered plant hugs the ground it sprawls over. A perenial, it has some similarities to the taller purple flowered verbena-like plant at sighting 4655623, having hairy leaves and stems, but is a much softer plant and definitely not prickly. It does not tend to drop roots from outer nodes though it does hug the ground as it spreads out. A few plants seen in this locale in irregularly mown patches. I don’t recall seeing it anywhere else, and have wondered if it is introduced.
