User's notes

A Banksia species with long pale yellow cylindrical upright flower heads from about March through to August-Sept. Great food source for (especially) Honey-eaters. A rough bark, often pale in colour, though this one is relatively darker (? lighting or different Sp ?) This has tough green spatula- shaped leaves with a silvery underside. A very common pioneer species on NSW North Coast. I’ve also noticed that young trees of this species are some of the most vulnerable to severe drought, being the first to die in numbers. All photos for this sighting are of one tree. Another Banksia tree I have believed to be the same species (?intergrifolia?) but am now questioning that, is at Sighting 4656327
