User's notes

In it’s location ½ way up a big hill where there are lots of tall established trees, (mostly eucalypts), this is the dominant wattle. It has big rich golden yellow globular flowers, and always flowers within a few days post decent rain unless it’s mid-Winter. It has flat thick ‘leaves’ (? phylodes ?), with virtually parallel veins. It suckers readily and seeds prolifically. However I’m not sure how many are propagated by seed ~ until recent years these plants only ever occupied this higher area, never spreading to the lowest 1/3 of the hill. However over the past 5 - 6 years, a few plants have appeared further down in these lower strata, though not down to the flat areas at the bottom. (Another wattle, a medium size tree, dominates these lower strata as far as the wattles are concerned). Again more established tall trees (mainly Eucalypts & Angophoras) predominate.
