User's notes

This intriguing grey, pink and fawn mottled weevil (?) was found on Whiskey Grass (Andropogon virginicus) (photo 5 gives context). Its overall patterning reminds me of an exotic carpet. It has a striking black line from the front of its (to me, undescribable!) face to the bottom of its large black eyes (all photos 1 to 4).
