A Cabbage White Butterfly, (Pieris rapae), looking a bit the worse for wear! Photo 1 shows the white wings, with a few grey-black spots and the contrasting black body and antennae. Photo 2 (top, middle) shows it laying eggs, and photo 3 gives a bit more detail of the wings, mostly the underside, which has a pale yellow wash over some of it, especially on the hind wings. Photo 4 (middle of LH corner) shows a green caterpillar, the larvae from a much earlier visitation!
