A fawn-brown medium-sized fly with large olive green eyes. It appears to have 4 black lines running dorsally from behind the head to the base of the thorax, with a shorter diagonal line running along each side of the thorax, from the top rear to lower mid-front (photos 1, 2 & 4). Above the eyes is a black central line at the top which appears to be their only separation (photo 1). The space between the eyes at the front appears a bit wider, and this appears to be a fawn colour (photo 3). The dorsal surface of the abdomen has a central black line running from front to back, and there appear to be 3 patches of yellow-fawn along on each side of that central line, which are also separated by black, (photos 1 & 5). The legs appear to have a mix of brown-black, alternating in part with a yellow-fawn colour (photo 1).
