User's notes

Sharing some similarities with sighting 4635617, this ?grasshopper? may not be a locust. Differences include the elongated-diamond shape of the fawn mid dorsal stripe, which spans the entire body length (from head to ‘tail’). The head and thorax appear to be the same colour as the dorsal stripe, without any other discernible markings, apart from the tan line that borders the dorsal stripe. The abdomen is also the same colour, as are the legs. The wings, in contrast, are a light brown, and have many fine darker brown and fawn markings; (the locust at sighting 4635617 is generally a mid brown colour with darker markings all over except for the dorsal stripe and head). There is a short black-brown line at the tip of the wings, running parallel to the lower edge, and another, shorter brown mark running in roughly the same direction. The upper rear legs appear to have a few fine & sparse dark brown markings along the outer edge. It is shorter than equally mature locusts I’ve seen, assuming that the brown & fawn colouring indicates mature adult stage.
