And have here added this sedge genus and species sighting within the wrong sub-category of: Grasses .
And have here used the name: _Abildgaardia vaginata_ R.Br. synonymous with
_Fimbristylis vaginata_ (R.Br.) Domin .

The Council of Heads of Australasian Herbaria still has to get around to reaching a collective view on these name changes,
hence APC(–APNI) at the moment recognises _Abildgaardia vaginata_ R.Br. as the accepted name while APC(–APNI) has documented the change from the above reference to _Fimbristylis vaginata_ .

The Flora of NSW online PlantNet has accepted the name _Fimbristylis vaginata_ .
While in the 1993 printed Flora of NSW this species had the name _Abildgaardia vaginata_ .
