Is this a running fern? Is it some other type of running plant? I haven’t seen anything like this ~ the hairy stems are suggestive of a fern, but the smooth thick leaves are more suggestive of a succulent! And the overall structure is suggestive of a vine!
This running plant is yet another life form which colonized an old shade cloth canopy. Particularly the 2nd photo gives a small sense of the variety of life forms that have, as well as illustrating the lattice-like running pattern of this particular plant.
The 4th photo shows another similar plant with yellower leaves. (The plant in the earlier photos, the subject of this sighting, can be seen in the bottom LH corner of the 4th photo)
The last photo shows a plant which, if it is the same sp, is probably how it looks when first starting out.
(The canopy collapsed a few years ago and a substantial amount of leaf litter has accumulated in the depression formed in the top, with several ferns & other plants colonizing the underside).
