User's notes

A large, mostly dark tan-brown (head) & dark mulberry red-black (upper side of thorax & abdomen) cicada. It has distinctive yellow marks on the foremost pronotum. I have not found a cicada that looks like this one, the closest being Black Prince (Psaltoda plaga) and Cherrynose (Macrotristria angularis) but there were still clear differences between this one and the photos I’ve seen of the latter two.
