User's notes

This is a long sleek light brown hopper (?grasshopper? ?katydid?) with both ends coming to a sharp point. The colour is generally uniform, except for some paler lines, along lowest edge of wings, and dorsally, along the outer margins and the centre line, and its small paler eyes. The wings look to have a fine netted texture and the upper rear legs appear to have some fine, slightly darker markings (photo 1). There is a long tapering, flat spike emanating from the end of its abdomen. The antennae are long, approximately the same length or a tad shorter than the body.
