Porrostoma sp. (genus) (Lycid, Net-winged beetle)

Family Lycidae. Also known as Net-winged beetles because of the fine net-like pattern of ridges on the wing cases. Many species previously assigned to the genus Metriorrhynchus are now included in Porrostoma. Lycid beetles are distasteful to vertebrate predators and are mimicked by many other unrelated beetles and other insects.
